Radial Gallery and the Department of Art and Design at the University of Dayton are pleased to present Touch Faith, an exhibition of new and selected works by Rachel Hellman and Joseph Minek, curated by professor Jeffrey Cortland Jones.
Rachel Hellman received a BFA from the University of Dayton and an MFA in Painting from Boston University. Her work includes sculpture, painting and installation.Hellmann was the recipient of the Blanche E. Colman Award for Painting and the Constatin Alajalov Award at Boston University. She was also awarded residencies at the Ragdale Foundation in Forest Park, IL, Platte Clove Preserve, Catskills, NY and Playa in Eastern Oregon. She was published in New American Paintings vol 113 and was recently the Edward E. Elson Artist-in-Residence at the Addison Gallery of American Art.Hellmann was Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing at Northern Essex Community College from 2008 until May of 2013 when she relocated to Terre Haute, IN to work full-time as an artist.
Joseph Minek is an artist and educator based in Cleveland Ohio. Joseph received his Masters of Fine Arts degree in Photography & Film from Virginia Commonwealth University and his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art. His work has been exhibited his work in spaces such as the Cleveland Museum of Art, Galerie Kornfeld (Berlin), Gallery 1/1 (San Jose), and Denny Dimin Gallery (New York). Joseph is currently focusing on his studio practice dealing with the possibilities of photographic material while holding the position of Lecturer at Cuyahoga Community College.

The exhibition Touch Faith is on view from January 16th through February 13th

Monday-Thursday, 9 am – 5 pm
Friday, 9 am – 2 pm
Sunday 2pm - 4pm
On January 23rd, visitors may obtain a parking pass from a Department of Art and Design Greeter in the main Lobby of Fitz hall. Outside of the opening reception; visitors may obtain a parking pass from the parking attendant located at the parking office located inside the main entrance of Fitz Hall.
