The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance is proud to bring The Last Waltz to the Schuster. The Last Waltz was the final live performance by The Band. On November 25, 1976, the musical group set out to say farewell to their audience, and they invited various guests to join them in doing so. This epic concert event was also filmed by Martin Scorsese, and the legacy of that night has only gained traction in the years since. That is why, decades later in Dayton, Ohio, an annual tradition has blossomed. This Thanksgiving weekend, Maestro Neal Gittleman, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, and thirty local musicians will re-create the music of that legendary night, bringing alive the spirit of the original concert.
