Headline: Sensory Sundays at the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery: Expanded Learning Activities for Families Highlighted
What: The third of four special events scheduled throughout the year, designed to make the Museum more accessible for families with children having special sensory needs.
Who: The Sensory Sunday activities are facilitated by the Education Department of the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.
Why: Doctors recommend these specialized environments to allow families the opportunity to enjoy a fun day out, meet with other ASD families, and get hands-on with science in an environment free of judging and unsafe spaces.
Who Should Attend: Families with a member on the autism spectrum.
When: Sunday, July 21, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Where: Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, 6200 DeWeese Parkway, Dayton, Ohio 45414
Program Fee: Admission for members is free, but advanced tickets are $8 per person; tickets at the door will be $9 per person. Day-of admission for this program will be through the Education Lobby, located to the right of the main Museum entrance.
