Through April 11, the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery in Columbus presents Ohio Diaspora: Art from the Collection of the National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center and Ohio Artists. The exhibit is curated by Rosa Rojas, senior curator for the Ohio History Connection’s National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce. “The exhibit features 69 works by 17 artists who live in Ohio, have ties to African American culture and are strong visual communicators,” Rojas says. Five artists are recipients of the Ohio Arts Council’s Individual Excellence Award. The Riffe Gallery is at 77 S. High St. in downtown Columbus. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
