Please join us on April 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for a reception at Radial Gallery on the campus
of the University of Dayton for the Annual Horvath Exhibition. Visitors will have the opportunity
to view work from students in the Department of Art and Design which have been juried by Colleen O'Connor. Colleen O’Connor is a freelance arts administrator and curator (2084, True Lies). She studied Photography at the University of Dayton and Visual Arts Administration at New York University, and is interested in the intersection of arts and community. For the past 15 years she has worked in non-profits, higher education, and creative professional workforce development at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The School of Visual Arts (NYC), Nailya Alexander Gallery, ClampArt, Ricco/Maresca Gallery, and The Center for Photography in Woodstock. Most recently she worked with ArtWorks in Cincinnati, OH where she led youth, creative professional, and artist recruitment and development initiatives to transform people and places through investments in creativity. Through her experience she has worked with artists and educators such as: Mary Ellen Mark, Sam Abel (National Geographic) Elinor Carucci, Bill Armstrong, Gerald Slota, Martin Weber, Akihiko Miyoshi, Kobra, Natalie Lanese, James Pate, Jim Effler, Jenny Ustick, Icy and Sot, and Richard Renaldi.. Long is an accomplished painter and
educator, with renowned national exhibition record as well as having work in many prominent
collections. Awards will be announced during the reception, including the Horvath Award for
Realism and Best in Design.
The exhibition is on view from Thursday March 28th through May 2nd.
The reception is held April 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Radial Gallery, Fitz Hall

Monday-Wednesday, 9 am – 5 pm
Thursday, 9 am – 7 pm
Friday, 9 am – 2 pm
On April 24th, parking available in S1 all day and D lot after 4 p.m. Limited guest parking passes
available at the visitor center in P, C, and B lots. Outside of reception hours visitors may obtain
parking permit from the parking attendant located on the University Circle inside the main
