From D-Day to the Battle of the Bulge- Recollections of a Local Military Veteran
The Bellbrook Historical Society is presenting its next talk of the 2019/2020 Lecture Series on Monday, January 20st 2020. James “Pee Wee” Martin is a longtime resident of Sugarcreek Township who served his country bravely during World War II. He was one of the first American soldiers to land in France during the invasion of Normandy, and took part in several more of the most important events in war torn Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge. All talks are free to the public and start at 7pm. Each lecture is about an hour in length and takes place at the Bellbrook Presbyterian Church located on 72 W Franklin St in downtown Bellbrook (45305). Please use the parking spaces located behind the church as well as the back entrance. Come and hear from one of our local hometown heroes about his first-hand accounts of the events that helped to secure our nation’s safety and shape our history.
