FiberArt'21: Exhibit, Presentation & Meet the Artists
An eclectic fiber art show is the featured exhibit at the Springboro Performing Arts Center, 115 Wright Station Way. This show focuses on modern, traditional and art quilting, felting, weaving, mixed media and wearable art. Works by nationally recognized artists include Cathy Jeffers, Maxine Thomas, Linda Ropeken, Helen Wilcox-Werling, Cris Fee, Delora Buford-Buchanan, Esther Bechler, Vicki Williamson, Tracy McElfresh, Boyd Hastings, Robin Hartmann, Dawnetta Fields, Becky Hancock and Rosalie Campbell are on display.
10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25 enjoy several presentations and hands-on activities including “Joining Raw Edges: The Stories They Tell,” presented by Pat Sturtzel. Sturtzel works at the Kentucky Center’s Arts Thrive Program (Arts in Healing) working with Veterans, Adults in recovery from substance abuse and older adults in assisted living facilities. Jeffers will present stories from her solo fiber show held in Texas. Meet the Artists Reception will be held immediately following, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Masks are required for the presentation and reception.
