The Beavercreek Music Parents Weekend of Jazz festival is a celebration of jazz music that includes both a school band festival and performances by top professional jazz acts, which attract people of all ages from the Dayton area and beyond.

On Friday, March 3, Weekend of Jazz hosts the Ellis Marsalis Quintet, which will perform at the Beavercreek High School Auditorium at 8 p.m. Marsalis, a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Master Award winner, is a multi-instrumental legend and the father of the Marsalis musical dynasty that includes sons Wynton (trumpet) and Branford (saxophone).

On Saturday, March 4, Weekend of Jazz is proud to host a headline performance by The DIVA Jazz Orchestra, a swinging, all-female big band headed by Sherrie Maricle. DIVA performs all over the world, playing contemporary and mainstream jazz that features plenty of energy and improvisation. DIVA's performance also begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the headline performances are $30 for adults and $20 for students and seniors, and can be purchased online at www.weekendofjazz.org. Visa, MasterCard and PayPal accepted.
